ALL FAQ'S

We would suggest two easy steps:

1) Did you try Furvor with adding water? If you are using kibble or dehydrated foods, this is a must try! Mixing it in with water provides a great additional benefit as well – your pup gets all the superfood benefits of our bone broth with additional daily hydration. Over the last few years, we have found that most dogs prefer this approach.

It is important to know that Furvor is a bone broth concentrate and the full bodied flavor of our formula might not be a fit with all dogs. Adding water to our broth also mellows that taste and during our extensive product testing we outperformed other leading bone broth brands when similarly diluted.

If your pup eats dry or dehydrated kibble, take about 1 tablespoon of bone broth topper and add it to your dog’s meal, drizzling it all over the kibble. But then add one more easy step - pour in about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water and mix together to create a gravy-like mixture and take your dog’s meal to the next level!

We spent 15 months developing our bone broth toppers and worked closely with veterinarian nutritionists to produce a product that was both (1) low sodium and (2) more than 10-30x more nutritionally dense (proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals) than typical boxed bone broth currently on the market. Our sodium levels are well within daily recommend salt intake levels for healthy dogs of all ages per Small Animal Clinical Nutrition published guidelines.

These guidelines suggest about 0.2-0.4% sodium in a young adult dog’s daily diet. They define this as a "risk factor management" range. Using the high end of the range, that would work out to approximately 500-1000 mg of sodium (based on approximately 250 grams or about 2 cups of kibble per day) for a typical medium sized dog. For older dogs, the guidance is lowered to 0.15-0.4% in their daily diet.

Sodium is approximately 2.0% of the Furvor bone broth topper formula (i.e., 2 grams per 100 grams). If you had a small to medium sized dog and mixed one tablespoon of Furvor bone broth topper into your dog’s kibble with the recommended 1/2 cup of water, sodium would represent about 0.25% of the serving.

So why does sodium appear second on the ingredient list? Because virtually all of our bone broth is exactly that - concentrated natural bone broth.

The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO), which governs labeling for pet products, does not require sodium to be disclosed as part of the Guaranteed Analysis on pet food products. We have chosen to provide supplemental disclosure in our product material to support our low sodium profile.

Our Mobility, Beef and Chicken Bone Broth Toppers are suitable for puppies, adults and senior dogs.
